The Governor, in cable No. 421 of the 25th June, has requested authority to initiate further invest- igations at the Tai Lam Chung Valley by the appointment of experts and the provision of the necessary plant.

The urgency of conducting these investigations needs no comment, end if further information is required I will endeavour to obtain it for you.
